Thune Pot Dome and the Murdo Subway Project

There is some good stuff about Sen. Thune on blogs out there. Here is a sampling.

I love this. A comment by "
The Observer" on Mount Blogmore asks that we come up with a more original name for MetaGate than MetaGate, and then offers a great suggestion...Thune Pot Dome. I'm going with that from now on.

Arbitrarily Tom notes that SD's Homeland Security Director John Berheim stated yesterday that the increased terror level for mass transportation really won't affect South Dakota since...well...we don't have any. Yet. "though Senator Thune has gotten $43,000 in funds to start building the subway in Murdo."

Political Forecast now has a "Thune scandal" section at the top of their links section and they say this.

"We in the blogosphereonline publishing world tend to get caught up in all the different stories and editorials that we issue.

So, hopefully on a weekly basis, or every few days at least, I'm going to remind you guys to keep important things on the forefront of political action and discourse. Tonight's two issues are the Downing Street Memo and the John Thune fiasco.

Rob posts on the DSM
here and SD Watch reports that the SD MSM has decided to get involved. Keep up the good work folks."

In An Alternative Universe makes this observation,

"a slick used car dealer and an equally slick politician created what appears to be a mutually beneficial relationship that is reminiscent of the conflict of interests in the Silverado Savings and Loan scandal."

I love all of the coverage out on the web and all the props go to you great and wonderful guys in South Dakota (DDDs) Dilligently you all worked (somewhat) together in bringing the pieces together and hopefully the entire puzzle will be there. The Clean Cut Kid was the trail blazer for all of you, but the credibility factor is WOW in terms of facts.
The unfamiliarity with South Dakota politics intially hampered my understanding, but the DDDs really hammered their points home for the amateurs like me.
The "One Term" Senator apparently thinks you're a force to be reckoned with since he has stated how your efforts have paid off bigtime with all of the coverage. Not that he is particularly happy about it, but the acknowledgement is nevertheless there.
How does it feel guys? Everyone is watching the finesse used to get this story out there.
